Ingredients

4 servings
Beef800 g beef sirloin or rump, in small strips
Paprika4 tsp
Red chilli powder (indian red chili powder)2 tsp
Black pepper1 tsp
Stock cube (bouillon cube)½ cube, crumbled
Saltto taste
Tomato3, finely chopped
Onion1, finely chopped
Green chilli2, chopped
Capsicum (green capsicum, green bell pepper)½, finely chopped
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)1 tbsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix paprika, chilli, pepper, crumbled stock cube and salt into a spice salt.
  2. 2Make the salsa with tomato, onion, chillies, pepper and salt.
  3. 3Toss the beef with oil and grill on a very hot grill or pan in batches until charred outside.
  4. 4Dip the hot beef in the spice salt and serve with salsa.
Serve it like this

Pile the beef on brown paper with a heap of spice salt and a bowl of salsa. Serve with fat cakes or bread rolls.
