Classic kokum sharbat.

Ingredients

4 servings
Kokum15 to 20 dried kokum petals
Water3½ cups
Sugar6 tbsp
Cumin powder (ground cumin)½ tsp, roasted
Black salt½ tsp
Salta pinch

Method

3 steps
  1. 1Soak the kokum in 1 cup hot water for an hour, then squeeze and mash.
  2. 2Simmer the kokum water with sugar until the sugar dissolves. Strain and cool.
  3. 3Stir in cumin, black salt, salt and the rest of the water. Chill and serve with ice.
Serve it like this
