Classic pootharekulu.

Ingredients

6 servings
Rice paper12 sheets, pootharekulu rekulu or Vietnamese rice paper
Ghee¼ cup, melted
Sugar½ cup, powdered
Almonds2 tbsp, finely chopped
Cashews2 tbsp, finely chopped
Pistachios1 tbsp, finely chopped
Cardamom½ tsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix sugar, cardamom and the chopped nuts.
  2. 2Lay a damp cloth briefly over one sheet to soften it slightly. Brush with ghee.
  3. 3Sprinkle the sugar mix, add a second sheet, brush with ghee and sprinkle again.
  4. 4Fold into a neat rectangle, sealing with ghee. Repeat.
Serve it like this
