Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)2½ cups
Instant dry yeast2 tsp
Sugar2 tsp
Water1¼ cups, warm

Cooking oil (vegetable oil)for frying, about 100 g stays in
Honey½ cup, warmed with 2 tbsp water
Cinnamon1 tsp
Walnuts⅓ cup, choppedMethod
- 1Whisk flour, yeast, sugar, salt and warm water into a thick, sticky batter. Rise until doubled and bubbly.
- 2Heat oil. Squeeze batter through your fist and scoop off small balls with a wet spoon into the oil.
- 3Fry, turning, until golden all over. Drain.
- 4Toss in warm honey syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon and walnuts.
Serve it like thisPile in a bowl, pour over honey syrup and finish with cinnamon and walnuts. Serve warm with ice cream if you like.
