Ingredients

12 servings
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)4 cups
Curd (plain yogurt, natural yoghurt)⅔ cup
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)½ cup
Butter3½ tbsp, melted
Milk½ cup
Egg1, separated
Baking powder2½ tsp
Salt1½ tsp
Sugar1 tsp
Feta cheese1½ cups, crumbled
Flat leaf parsleya handful, chopped
Nigella seeds1 tsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix curd, oil, butter, milk, egg white, salt and sugar. Add flour and baking powder and bring into a soft dough.
  2. 2Mix the feta and parsley.
  3. 3Divide into 12, flatten, fill and fold into half moons.
  4. 4Brush with yolk, sprinkle nigella and bake at 190 C for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve it like this

Serve warm in a basket with tea in tulip glasses, olives and tomatoes.
