Ingredients

6 servings
Beef1 kg shin or chuck, cubed
Onion4, chopped
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)3 tbsp, or lard
Paprika3 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika
Garlic3 cloves
Caraway seeds½ tsp, crushed
Capsicum (green capsicum, green bell pepper)1 pale green pepper, sliced
Tomato1 large, chopped
Wateras needed
Saltto taste
Dried red chillia pinch hot paprika

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Fry onions in oil until soft and golden.
  2. 2Take off heat, stir in paprika, then add beef, garlic, caraway and salt.
  3. 3Cook covered on low in its own juices, adding splashes of water only when needed.
  4. 4Add pepper and tomato for the last 30 minutes.
Serve it like this

Serve in deep plates with nokedli and a sliced pickled cucumber on the side.
