Ingredients

4 servings
Whole wheat bread (wholemeal bread)12 slices
Butter3 tbsp
Mint leavesfor green chutney
Coriander leaves (cilantro)for green chutney
Green chilli2
Ginger1.5 cm
Lemon juice2 tsp
Potato2 medium, boiled and sliced
Cucumber1, sliced
Tomato1 large, sliced
Onion1 small, sliced in rings
Beetroot (beet)1 small, boiled and sliced
Capsicum (green capsicum, green bell pepper)½, sliced
Chaat masala1 tsp sandwich masala
Processed cheese (american cheese)½ cup, grated, optional
Saltto taste

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Blend mint, coriander, chilli, ginger, lemon and salt into a thick green chutney.
  2. 2Butter all slices, then spread chutney.
  3. 3Layer potato, beetroot, cucumber, tomato, onion and capsicum with a sprinkle of chaat masala between layers. Top with cheese and close.
  4. 4Eat fresh or grill in a sandwich toaster till golden.
Serve it like this
