Ingredients

Minced beef (beef mince, beef or buff keema)500 g
Onion1, finely chopped
Capsicum (green capsicum, green bell pepper)1 small green, finely chopped
Garlic3 cloves
Tomato ketchup (ketchup)½ cup
Tomato puree½ cup
Brown sugar1 tbsp
Worcestershire sauce2 tsp
Prepared mustard2 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder1 tsp
Saltto taste
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)2 tsp
Burger bun4 buns, toasted

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Brown the mince in oil, breaking it up, then drain excess fat.
  2. 2Add onion, capsicum and garlic and cook until soft.
  3. 3Stir in ketchup, tomato puree, sugar, Worcestershire, mustard, chilli and salt with 1/4 cup water. Simmer 10 minutes.
  4. 4Pile onto toasted buns.
Serve it like this

Pile onto toasted buns on a plate, open faced or closed, with pickles and potato chips. Hand out extra napkins.
