Ingredients

Butter⅔ cup, soft
Sugar¾ cup plus 1 tbsp, powdered
Egg½, beaten
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)1¾ cups
Lemonzest of 1
Salta pinch
Milk1 tbsp

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in the egg and lemon zest.
  2. 2Fold in maida, salt and milk to a soft dough. Chill 20 minutes.
  3. 3Roll 1/4 inch thick and cut large 3 inch rounds with a fluted cutter.
  4. 4Bake at 170 C for 15 to 18 minutes.
  5. 5Cool on a rack and store airtight.
Serve it like this
