Ingredients

Beef1.5 kg beef brisket or shin on the bone (about 1.2 kg meat)
Onion1, quartered
Bay leaf (indian bay leaf)2
Salt2 tsp
Black pepper1 tsp
Waterto cover

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Put the beef, onion, bay and salt in a heavy pot, cover with water and simmer gently.
  2. 2Keep cooking until the meat falls off the bone and most of the water is gone.
  3. 3Remove the bones and pound the meat in the pot with a wooden spoon until shredded.
  4. 4Season with pepper and more salt to taste.
Serve it like this
