Ingredients

8 servings
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)1¼ cups
Rava (semolina)⅓ cup, fine
Ghee2 tbsp for dough, the rest for roasting
Milk⅓ cup
Khoa¾ cup
Besan (chickpea flour, gram flour)2 tbsp
Sugar½ cup, powdered
Cardamom½ tsp
Nutmega pinch

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Knead maida, rava and 2 tbsp ghee with milk into a soft dough. Rest 30 minutes.
  2. 2Roast besan in a little ghee, add khoa and roast until golden. Cool and mix in sugar, cardamom and nutmeg.
  3. 3Stuff balls of dough with filling and roll into small thick rounds.
  4. 4Roast on a low heat tawa with ghee until golden on both sides.
Serve it like this

Serve two warm satoris on a plate with a small bowl of ghee or warm milk.
