Classic pol roti.

Ingredients

4 servings
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)2 cups
Fresh grated coconut1½ cups
Onion1 small, finely chopped
Green chilli2, chopped
Curry leaves1 sprig, chopped
Waterabout 1/2 cup
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)for the pan
Salt1 tsp

Method

3 steps
  1. 1Mix flour, coconut, onion, chilli, curry leaves and salt. Add water slowly and knead to a soft dough.
  2. 2Divide into 8 balls and pat each into a thick round on an oiled sheet.
  3. 3Cook on a hot tawa with a little oil until spotted brown on both sides.
Serve it like this
