Ingredients

Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)3¼ cups
Curd (plain yogurt, natural yoghurt)⅔ cup
Water⅔ cup, warm
Sugar2 tsp
Instant dry yeast2 tsp
Salt1½ tsp
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)for frying (about 1/3 cup absorbed)
Feta cheeseto serve
Black olivesto serve

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Mix flour, sugar, yeast, salt, curd and warm water into a soft dough. Knead 5 minutes.
  2. 2Rise 1 hour.
  3. 3Divide into 12 balls, flatten thin and poke a hole in the centre.
  4. 4Fry in hot oil until puffed and golden, 1 minute per side.
  5. 5Drain and serve warm with cheese and olives.
