Classic peanut butter cookies.

Ingredients

Peanut butter1 cup
Butter4 tbsp, softened
Brown sugar½ cup
Sugar¼ cup
Egg1
Vanilla essence (vanilla flavouring, imitation vanilla extract)1 tsp
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)¾ cup
Baking soda (bicarb soda, bicarbonate of soda)½ tsp
Salta pinch

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Heat the oven to 175 C. Beat the peanut butter, butter and both sugars until creamy.
  2. 2Beat in the egg and vanilla, then stir in the maida, soda and salt.
  3. 3Roll into walnut sized balls, roll in sugar and place on a lined tray.
  4. 4Press each ball with a fork in a crisscross pattern.
  5. 5Bake 10 to 12 minutes and cool on the tray 5 minutes.
Serve it like this
