Ingredients

12 servings
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)4 cups
Instant dry yeast2 tsp
Sugar60 g in dough, 40 g in sauce
Milk1 cup, warm
Butter4 tbsp
Egg1
Salt1 tsp
Thick coconut milk400 ml coconut cream

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix flour, yeast, 60 g sugar and salt. Add milk, butter and egg and knead 10 minutes.
  2. 2Rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  3. 3Shape 12 balls and place in a deep tin. Rise 30 minutes.
  4. 4Mix the coconut cream with the remaining sugar and pour over. Bake at 180°C for 25 to 30 minutes.
Serve it like this

Serve warm in the tin, scooping extra coconut sauce over each bun, with a cup of tea or cocoa.
