Ingredients

Octopus500 g small octopus, cleaned
Salt2 tsp coarse, for cleaning
Cornflour (cornstarch)1 tbsp, for cleaning
Onion1, sliced
Carrot1 small, sliced
Cabbagea wedge, chopped
Spring onion (green onion, scallion)3 stalks, cut
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)1 tbsp
Gochugaru2½ tbsp
Gochujang2 tbsp
Soy sauce1 tbsp
Sugar1 tbsp
Garlic6 cloves, minced
Ginger1 tsp
Sesame oil2 tsp
Sesame seeds2 tsp

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Rub the octopus with salt and flour, rinse well and cut into 5 cm pieces.
  2. 2Mix gochugaru, gochujang, soy, sugar, garlic and ginger into a sauce.
  3. 3Stir fry onion, carrot and cabbage in oil on high for 2 minutes.
  4. 4Add octopus and sauce and stir fry 3 minutes until just cooked.
  5. 5Finish with spring onion, sesame oil and seeds.
Serve it like this
