Ingredients

Puff pastry500 g sheets
Coconut oil1½ tbsp
Onion1 large, sliced
Ginger2.5 cm, chopped
Garlic2 cloves
Green chilli2, chopped
Curry leavesa sprig
Turmeric (ground turmeric)¼ tsp
Red chilli powder (indian red chili powder)1 tsp
Garam masala1 tsp
Potato2, boiled and cubed
Carrot1, diced and boiled
Green peas⅓ cup, boiled
Salt¾ tsp
Milkto brush

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Cook onion in coconut oil until soft, add ginger, garlic, chilli and curry leaves, then the spice powders.
  2. 2Add potato, carrot, peas and salt and mash lightly. Cool completely.
  3. 3Cut pastry into 10 squares, fill, fold into triangles and seal with a fork. Brush with milk.
  4. 4Bake at 200 C for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve it like this

Serve warm on a plate with tomato ketchup and a hot cup of chai. Best eaten fresh from the oven.
