Minced beef (beef mince, beef or buff keema)300 g beef mince
Minced mutton (goat mince, ground goat)200 g lamb mince
Onion1, grated
Garlic2 cloves
White bread2 slices, soaked and squeezed
Egg1
Mint leavesa handful, chopped
Flat leaf parsleya handful, chopped
Dried oregano1 tsp
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)for dusting
Olive oilfor frying, about 60 g stays in

Lemon1, in wedgesMethod
- 1Mix all the ingredients except the flour, oil and lemon. Knead well and chill 30 minutes.
- 2Shape into walnut sized balls, flatten slightly and dust in flour.
- 3Fry in olive oil until deep brown and cooked through with no pink.
- 4Drain and serve with lemon.
Serve it like thisPile on a plate with lemon wedges and a bowl of tzatziki for dipping.
