Baguette (french bread roll)4 sub rolls
Cooked ham8 slices
Spicy salami (pepperoni)12 slices
Provolone8 slices
Lettuceiceberg, finely shredded
Onion½ red onion, thinly sliced
Jalapeñopepperoncini or pickled jalapeños, chopped
Mayonnaise¼ cup
Vinegar1 tbsp red wine vinegar
Dried oregano½ tsp
Parmesan2 tbsp, grated
Black pepperto taste
Salta pinch

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix mayo, vinegar, oregano, parmesan, pepper and salt.
  2. 2Toss lettuce, onion and pepperoncini in the dressing.
  3. 3Split the rolls, layer provolone, ham and salami; toast briefly if you like.
  4. 4Pile the salad high on top and close.
Serve it like this

Wrap tightly in paper and cut in half to show the layers. Serve with crisps and pickles.
