Ingredients

4 servings
Avocado2 large, very ripe
Cocoa powder (unsweetened cocoa powder)⅓ cup
Maple syrup¼ cup, or to taste
Soy milk, unsweetened (soya milk)¼ cup
Vanilla essence (vanilla flavouring, imitation vanilla extract)½ tsp
Salta pinch
Dark chocolate (bittersweet chocolate)a little, grated, to finish
Raspberriesa handful, to finish

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Scoop the avocado flesh into a blender, leaving behind any brown or stringy bits.
  2. 2Add the cocoa, maple syrup, soy milk, vanilla and salt and blend, scraping down, until completely smooth.
  3. 3Taste and adjust sweetness. Spoon into small glasses and chill.
  4. 4Top with grated chocolate and raspberries just before serving.
Serve it like this

Serve chilled in small glasses or espresso cups, topped with raspberries and chocolate shavings, with a teaspoon each.
