Ingredients

4 servings
Minced beef (beef mince, beef or buff keema)250 g
Minced pork (pork mince, ground pork)250 g
White bread1 day old roll, soaked in milk
Milk¼ cup
Onion1, finely chopped
Egg1
Prepared mustard1 tbsp
Flat leaf parsleya handful, chopped
Dried marjoram½ tsp
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)2 tbsp
Saltto taste
Black pepperto taste

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Soak the bread in milk, squeeze and crumble.
  2. 2Mix meat, bread, onion, egg, mustard, parsley, marjoram, salt and pepper with your hands.
  3. 3Shape 8 flat patties with wet hands.
  4. 4Fry over medium heat until well browned on both sides and cooked through.
Serve it like this

Serve two patties with a spoon of mustard, potato salad and a pickle, or tuck one cold into a crusty roll.
