Ingredients

12 servings
Rolled oats (porridge oats)3 cups rolled oats
Butter¾ cup
Brown sugar½ cup plus 2 tbsp
Golden syrup (golden syrup or light corn syrup)⅓ cup plus 1 tbsp
Salta pinch

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Melt butter, sugar and syrup together.
  2. 2Stir in oats and salt until coated.
  3. 3Press into a lined 20 cm tin and bake at 180 C for 20 to 25 minutes.
  4. 4Cut while warm, cool in the tin.
Serve it like this

Cut into squares or fingers and pack in tiffins, or serve with tea.
