Ingredients

4 servings
Washed wheat gluten (chakki)from 2 cups atta, washed
Onion2, chopped
Tomato2, pureed
Curd (plain yogurt, natural yoghurt)⅔ cup
Ginger garlic paste1 tbsp
Green chilli2
Red chilli powder (indian red chili powder)2 tsp
Coriander powder (ground coriander)2 tsp
Garam masala1 tsp
Turmeric (ground turmeric)¼ tsp
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)3 tbsp
Water1¼ cups
Saltto taste

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Knead 2 cups atta into a firm dough and rest 30 minutes; wash under water, kneading, until the water runs clear and only stretchy gluten is left.
  2. 2Shape into a log, steam 20 minutes, cool and cut into pieces; shallow fry until golden.
  3. 3Fry onion, ginger garlic and chillies; add tomato and powders.
  4. 4Add whisked curd on low, then water; add chakki and simmer 10 minutes.
Serve it like this

Serve hot with phulka or jeera rice and onion salad.
