Ingredients

4 servings
Potato1.5 kg, 1.2 kg raw and 300 g boiled
Cornflour (cornstarch)potato starch, from the squeezed liquid or extra
Minced pork (pork mince, ground pork)400 g
Onion1 large, half in filling, half in sauce
Saltto taste
Black pepperto taste
Bacon (streaky rashers, streaky bacon)80 g, diced
Sour cream⅔ cup
Lemon juice1 tsp, to stop browning

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Grate raw potatoes finely, squeeze dry in a cloth, keep the starch that settles from the liquid.
  2. 2Mix pulp with mashed boiled potato, starch, salt and lemon.
  3. 3Season pork with onion, salt and pepper. Wrap a ball of meat in dough and shape into a zeppelin.
  4. 4Simmer gently in salted water 25 minutes.
  5. 5Fry bacon and onion, stir in sour cream, and pour over.
Serve it like this

Serve two cepelinai per plate with sour cream bacon sauce poured over.
