Ingredients

6 servings
Blueberries4 cups, wild if possible
Sugar½ cup for berries, 1 tbsp for dumplings
Water½ cup
Lemon juice1 tbsp
Cinnamon powdera pinch
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)1⅔ cups
Baking powder2 tsp
Butter3 tbsp, cold
Milk⅔ cup
Salta pinch

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Simmer berries with sugar, water, lemon and cinnamon in a wide pan with a lid for 5 minutes.
  2. 2Rub butter into flour, baking powder, salt and 1 tbsp sugar, then stir in milk to a soft, sticky dough.
  3. 3Drop spoonfuls over the simmering berries, cover tightly and cook 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
  4. 4Serve warm with dumplings on top and berries spooned around.
Serve it like this
