Ingredients

4 servings
Mutton (goat meat)800 g goat meat, bone in, skin on if possible
Onion1 large, chopped
Scotch bonnet chilli (habanero or scotch bonnet pepper, habanero chilli)4, chopped
Red bell pepper (red capsicum, red pepper)1, chopped
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)2 tbsp
Gingerthumb, grated
Garlic3 cloves
Dried thyme1 tsp
Curry powder1 tsp
Stock cube (bouillon cube)1 cube
Saltto taste

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Season the goat with ginger, garlic, thyme, curry powder, stock cube and salt and boil in very little water until just tender.
  2. 2Grill over charcoal or under a hot grill until smoky and charred at the edges.
  3. 3Chop into bite sized pieces.
  4. 4Fry onion, scotch bonnets and pepper in oil for 3 minutes, add the goat and toss until coated.
Serve it like this

Pile into a bowl, scatter raw onion rings on top and serve with toothpicks and cold drinks.
