Spaghetti bolognese.

Ingredients

4 servings
Pastaspaghetti
Minced mutton (goat mince, ground goat)300 g mutton or chicken keema
Olive oil1½ tbsp
Onion1 large, finely chopped
Garlic5 cloves, minced
Carrot1, finely chopped
Tomato4, chopped
Tomato puree⅔ cup
Dried mixed herbs (italian seasoning)1½ tsp
Dried red chilli½ tsp chilli flakes
Black pepper½ tsp
Sugar½ tsp
Water¾ cup
Processed cheese (american cheese)¼ cup, grated
Saltto taste, plus some for the water

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Heat oil and cook onion, garlic and carrot on medium until soft and sweet, about 6 minutes.
  2. 2Add the mince and brown on high, breaking it up, until no pink remains.
  3. 3Add tomato, puree, herbs, chilli, sugar, salt and water. Simmer covered on low for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring now and then.
  4. 4Cook spaghetti until al dente. Toss with the sauce and a splash of pasta water.
  5. 5Serve with pepper and grated cheese.
Serve it like this
