Ingredients

4 servings
Fish400 g white fish fillets (pollock, cod or basa), thin slices
Salt½ tsp
White peppera pinch
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)⅓ cup
Egg3, beaten
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)3 tbsp
Spring onion (green onion, scallion)a little, finely chopped
Soy sauce1½ tbsp, for dipping
Vinegar2 tsp, for dipping

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Pat the fish slices dry and season with salt and white pepper for 10 minutes.
  2. 2Dust each slice in flour, shaking off the excess.
  3. 3Dip in beaten egg mixed with spring onion and fry on medium low, 2 minutes a side.
  4. 4Mix soy and vinegar for dipping and serve warm.
Serve it like this

Arrange overlapping on a platter, warm, with the soy vinegar dip in a small bowl and rice alongside.
