Ingredients

Mutton (goat meat)750 g
Potato2 large, quartered
Onion2, sliced
Curd (plain yogurt, natural yoghurt)½ cup
Tomato1
Ginger garlic paste2 tbsp
Tamarinda small piece
Red chilli powder (indian red chili powder)1 tbsp
Coriander powder (ground coriander)1 tbsp
Turmeric (ground turmeric)¼ tsp
Garam masala1 tsp
Whole spicescinnamon, cloves, cardamom, bay
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)3 tbsp
Water2 cups
Saltto taste

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Marinate mutton with curd, ginger garlic and powders for an hour.
  2. 2Fry whole spices and onions in oil until brown; add tomato.
  3. 3Add mutton and sear until the masala dries; add water and pressure cook for 5 whistles. Let the pressure release naturally.
  4. 4Add potatoes and tamarind; simmer until potatoes are soft and the gravy thickens.
Serve it like this

Serve in a deep bowl with steamed rice, bread or dinner rolls.
