Ingredients

Beef500 g mince
Onion1, chopped
Capsicum (green capsicum, green bell pepper)1, chopped
Garlic4 cloves
Tomato puree¾ cup
Raisins¼ cup
Green olives⅓ cup
Cumin powder (ground cumin)½ tsp
Dried oregano½ tsp
Vinegar2 tsp
Potato1 large, small dice
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)3 tbsp
Saltto taste
Cooked riceto serve

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Fry potato cubes in oil until crisp; set aside.
  2. 2Fry onion, capsicum and garlic, then brown the beef.
  3. 3Add tomato purée, cumin, oregano, vinegar and salt and simmer 10 minutes.
  4. 4Stir in raisins, olives and potatoes.
Serve it like this

Serve over white rice with fried plantain and black beans on the side.
