Ingredients

4 servings
Pork500 g pork belly, strips
Radish (daikon radish, mooli)2 medium, thick slices
Dried red chilli4 to 6
Ginger4 cm, sliced
Garlic5 cloves, crushed
Saltto taste
Water1¼ cups

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Cook the pork strips in a dry pot until the fat renders and they brown lightly.
  2. 2Add ginger, garlic and dried chillies and stir until fragrant.
  3. 3Add the radish, water and salt. Cover and simmer until the pork is tender and the radish soft.
  4. 4Serve hot with rice.
Serve it like this

Serve hot in a deep bowl with a swirl of ghee or a few coriander leaves on top, and rice or rotis on the side.
