Ingredients

3 servings
Short grain rice (sushi rice)1½ cups short grain rice
Water1½ cups
Salt1 tsp, for your hands
Tuna in oil (tinned tuna)1 can, drained
Mayonnaise2½ tbsp
Soy sauce1 tsp
Nori sheets3 sheets, cut in strips
Sesame seeds1 tsp

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Rinse and cook the rice, then rest it covered for 10 minutes. Let it cool until you can handle it.
  2. 2Mix the tuna with mayonnaise and soy.
  3. 3Wet your hands and rub with a pinch of salt. Take a handful of rice, press a hollow, add filling and cover with rice.
  4. 4Press firmly into a triangle with cupped hands, turning three or four times.
  5. 5Wrap with a nori strip and sprinkle sesame. Wrap the nori just before eating for crunch.
Serve it like this

Line up the triangles with nori strips facing out on a small board, or pack in a tiffin with the nori wrapped separately. Miso soup alongside.
