Ingredients

3 servings
Curd (plain yogurt, natural yoghurt)1 cup, plain
Water450 ml cold
Gingera small piece, crushed
Green chilli½, crushed
Curry leavesa sprig, torn
Coriander leaves (cilantro)1 tbsp chopped
Asafoetidaa pinch
Salt½ tsp

Method

3 steps
  1. 1Whisk the curd until smooth, then whisk in the water.
  2. 2Crush the ginger, green chilli and curry leaves and stir them in with the asafoetida and salt.
  3. 3Let it stand 5 minutes, then add coriander and serve chilled.
Serve it like this

Serve chilled in steel tumblers, with the chilli and curry leaves floating on top.
