Ingredients

Mutton (goat meat)750 g
Onion2 large, sliced
Tomato2, chopped
Potato2, quartered
Ginger garlic paste2 tbsp
Green chilli3, slit
Red chilli powder (indian red chili powder)2 tsp
Coriander powder (ground coriander)1 tbsp
Turmeric (ground turmeric)¼ tsp
Whole spicescinnamon, cloves, cardamom
Thick coconut milk¾ cup
Vinegar2 tsp
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)2 tbsp
Water1⅔ cups
Saltto taste

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Fry whole spices and onions in oil until golden.
  2. 2Add ginger garlic, chillies, powders and tomatoes and cook until soft.
  3. 3Add mutton and water and pressure cook for 5 whistles. Let the pressure release naturally.
  4. 4Add potatoes and simmer until soft.
  5. 5Stir in coconut milk and vinegar and heat through without boiling.
Serve it like this

Serve hot in a deep dish with crusty bread, dinner rolls or coconut rice.
