Ingredients

4 servings
Raw banana (green plantain)6 green cooking bananas, peeled and sliced
Beef300 g beef with a bone
Onion1, chopped
Tomato1, chopped
Carrot1, chopped
Butter1½ tbsp
Water4 cups
Saltto taste

Method

3 steps
  1. 1Simmer the beef with onion and salt in water until tender.
  2. 2Add bananas, tomato and carrot and simmer until very soft.
  3. 3Remove the bone and mash everything with a wooden masher or blend to a thick soup. Stir in butter.
Serve it like this

Ladle into deep bowls with a knob of butter and a few pieces of beef on top.
