Ingredients

4 servings
Minced beef (beef mince, beef or buff keema)250 g
Minced pork (pork mince, ground pork)250 g
Potato3, in small cubes
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)absorbed from frying
Onion1 large, diced
Garlic3 cloves
Soy sauce2 tbsp
Dark soy sauce2 tsp
Worcestershire sauce1 tbsp
Sugar2 tsp
Black pepper½ tsp
Egg4, fried
Cooked rice4 cups, to serve

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Fry the potato cubes in oil until golden and crisp. Drain.
  2. 2Fry the onion and garlic until soft, then add both minces and break up until browned.
  3. 3Add soy sauces, Worcestershire, sugar and pepper and cook 3 minutes.
  4. 4Fold in the potatoes just before serving and top each plate with a fried egg over rice.
Serve it like this

Spoon the minchi beside a mound of rice and slide a crisp fried egg on top so the yolk runs into both.
