Ingredients

10 servings
Khoa2 cups, crumbled
Ghee2 tsp
Milk2 tbsp
Sugar⅔ cup, powdered (bura), plus extra to roll
Cardamom½ tsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Roast khoa with ghee and milk on low heat, stirring constantly.
  2. 2Keep roasting until the colour is a deep caramel brown.
  3. 3Cool until warm, mix in sugar and cardamom and knead.
  4. 4Shape 20 pedas and roll in more bura.
Serve it like this

Arrange pedas on a brass plate or in a leaf bowl, two per person, with a tulsi leaf if offering.
