Ingredients

Khoa300 g
Milk¼ cup
Sugar½ cup plus 1 tbsp, plus extra for coating
Ghee2 tsp
Cardamom¼ tsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Crumble the khoa into a heavy pan with the milk and ghee and cook on low, stirring constantly.
  2. 2Keep cooking until it turns a deep caramel brown.
  3. 3Add 100 g sugar and cardamom and cook until it leaves the pan.
  4. 4Cool slightly, shape into cylinders and roll in the remaining sugar.
Serve it like this

Serve in small bowls, warm or chilled as it likes best, with a few chopped nuts on top.
