Ingredients

8 servings
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)3¼ cups
Instant dry yeast2 tsp
Milk¾ cup, lukewarm
Sugar40 g dough, 120 g coating
Egg1
Butter50 g dough, 30 g melted
Salta pinch
Cinnamon powder2 tsp
Walnutsground, optional

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Knead a soft enriched dough and rise until doubled.
  2. 2Roll into a thin long strip, wrap around foil covered rolling pins or tins in a spiral.
  3. 3Brush with butter and roll in sugar.
  4. 4Bake at 200 C, turning, until deep amber. Roll in cinnamon or walnut sugar.
Serve it like this

Slide off the form while warm and serve standing on a plate, to tear in spirals.
