Ingredients

3 servings
Kodo millet1 cup, rinsed and soaked 30 minutes
Ghee1 tbsp
Whole spices2 cloves, 1 cardamom, small cinnamon stick
Bay leaf (indian bay leaf)1
Cumin seeds½ tsp
Onion1, sliced
Ginger garlic paste2 tsp
Green chilli1 to 2, slit
Mint leavesa handful
Carrot1, diced
Green beans8, chopped
Green peas½ cup
Water2 cups
Saltto taste
Coriander leaves (cilantro)2 tbsp

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Heat ghee in a cooker, add whole spices, bay leaf and cumin until fragrant.
  2. 2Add onion and cook until golden, then ginger garlic paste, chilli and mint.
  3. 3Add vegetables and drained millet, stir 2 minutes.
  4. 4Add water and salt. Pressure cook 2 whistles, let pressure release naturally.
  5. 5Fluff gently and finish with coriander.
Serve it like this

Fluff gently with a fork and serve hot on a wide plate, with raita or a side next to it.
