Classic hari chutney.

Per serving, worked out from the ingredient table.

Ingredients

8 servings
Coriander leaves (cilantro)2 packed cups, with tender stems
Mint leaves1 packed cup, leaves only
Green chilli2 to 3
Ginger1.5 cm
Roasted chana dal (roasted split chickpeas)1 tbsp, optional, for body
Lemon juice1½ tbsp
Cumin seeds½ tsp
Black salt½ tsp
Saltto taste
Water3 tbsp, ice cold

Method

3 steps
  1. 1Wash the coriander and mint well and shake dry. Keep the tender coriander stems.
  2. 2Blend everything with ice cold water to a smooth paste, adding water a spoon at a time.
  3. 3Taste and adjust salt and lemon. Store in a jar in the fridge.
Serve it like this
