Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)1 cup
Sugar3 tbsp
Baking powder1 tsp
Salta pinch
Egg8, 2 for batter and 6 whole on top
Milk⅔ cup
Butter2 tbsp, melted
Processed cheese (american cheese)grated, optional
Spring onion (green onion, scallion)1, chopped

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Heat oven to 190 C and grease 6 small loaf tins or a large muffin tin.
  2. 2Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, 2 eggs, milk and butter into a smooth batter.
  3. 3Fill tins halfway, crack a whole egg on each and top with cheese and spring onion.
  4. 4Bake 18 to 20 minutes until the bread is risen and the egg set.
Serve it like this

Serve warm in a paper sleeve or on a plate with milk or coffee.
