Ingredients

Cooked rice1 heaped cup, hot
Egg2
Soy sauce2 tsp
Sesame oil1 tsp
Butter1 tsp, optional
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)1 tsp
Sesame seeds½ tsp, toasted
Nori sheets½ sheet, crumbled
Spring onion (green onion, scallion)1, sliced

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Heat oil in a pan until shimmering and fry the eggs until the edges are crisp and brown, yolks runny.
  2. 2Put the hot rice in a bowl with the butter so it melts in.
  3. 3Slide the eggs on, drizzle soy sauce and sesame oil, scatter seeds, nori and spring onion.
  4. 4Break the yolks and mix everything together before eating.
Serve it like this

Serve in a deep bowl with the eggs on top, nori and sesame scattered over. Kimchi and a cup of barley tea on the side.
