Whole wheat flour (wholemeal atta flour, chapati flour)1⅔ cups
Ghee¾ cup
Edible gum (gond) (edible gum arabic)⅓ cup
Jaggery¾ cup, powdered
Almonds⅓ cup, chopped
Cashews¼ cup, chopped
Desiccated coconut (unsweetened shredded coconut)½ cup
Dry ginger powder (ground ginger)1 tsp
Cardamom½ tspMethod
- 1Fry gond in batches in hot ghee until it puffs up white. Crush lightly.
- 2Roast the nuts and coconut briefly in the same ghee.
- 3Roast the atta in the remaining ghee on low heat until deep golden.
- 4Cool to warm, mix everything with jaggery and dry ginger and shape 15 laddus.
Serve it like thisServe one laddu with a glass of warm milk or tea on a winter morning.
