Ingredients

3 servings
Fish cakes4 sheets, sliced
Onion1 small, sliced
Carrot1 small, julienned
Green chilli2, sliced
Garlic2 cloves, minced
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)1 tbsp
Soy sauce1½ tbsp
Sugar2 tsp
Honey2 tsp
Sesame oil1 tsp
Sesame seeds1 tsp

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Pour boiling water over the fish cakes for 30 seconds, drain and slice.
  2. 2Stir fry the onion and carrot in the oil for 2 minutes.
  3. 3Add the fish cakes and garlic, then the soy, sugar and 2 tbsp water. Toss 2 minutes.
  4. 4Add the honey and chilli, toss until glossy, then finish with sesame oil and seeds.
Serve it like this

Serve in a small banchan dish, sesame on top, at room temperature with rice and other sides. Packs neatly into a lunchbox.
