Ingredients

4 servings
Sausages (snags, bangers)4 bratwurst or pork sausages
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)1 tbsp
Onion1 small, grated
Tomato ketchup (ketchup)¾ cup
Tomato puree2 tbsp tomato paste
Curry powder1 tbsp, plus extra to dust
Paprika1 tsp sweet or smoked
Sugar2 tsp
Vinegar2 tsp
Water½ cup
Salta pinch

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Fry or grill the sausages until browned all over and cooked through.
  2. 2Soften the onion in the pan, add curry powder and paprika and stir 30 seconds.
  3. 3Add ketchup, tomato paste, sugar, vinegar and water. Simmer until thick and glossy.
  4. 4Slice the sausages into thick coins, pour the hot sauce over and dust with more curry powder.
Serve it like this

Serve on a paper tray or small plate with a wooden fork, sauce over the sausage, curry dust on top and fries or a crusty roll on the side.
