Ingredients

4 servings
Potato4 medium, boiled and grated
Water chestnut flour (singhara atta)⅓ cup
Peanuts3 tbsp, roasted and crushed
Green chilli2, finely chopped
Ginger1.5 cm, grated
Coriander leaves (cilantro)a handful
Cumin seeds1 tsp, roasted and crushed
Black peppera pinch
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)groundnut oil or ghee, for shallow frying
Rock salt (sendha namak)to taste

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Grate cold boiled potatoes and mix with singhara flour, peanuts, chilli, ginger, coriander, cumin, pepper and rock salt.
  2. 2Shape into 12 flat tikkis with oiled palms.
  3. 3Shallow fry on medium till deep golden on both sides.
  4. 4Serve hot with curd, vrat green chutney and pomegranate.
Serve it like this
