Ingredients

4 servings
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)3 cups
Curd (plain yogurt, natural yoghurt)⅔ cup, or kefir
Egg1
Salta pinch
Baking soda (bicarb soda, bicarbonate of soda)a pinch
Cherries500 g sour cherries, pitted
Sugar⅓ cup plus 1 tbsp
Cornflour (cornstarch)1 tbsp
Sour creamto serve
Honeyto drizzle

Method

5 steps
  1. 1Knead flour, curd, egg, salt and soda into a soft dough. Rest.
  2. 2Toss cherries with half the sugar and drain the juice for a sauce.
  3. 3Roll thin, cut circles, add 3 cherries and a pinch of sugar and cornflour, and seal well.
  4. 4Steam or boil until they float plus 2 minutes.
  5. 5Serve with sour cream, honey and the cherry syrup.
Serve it like this
