Ingredients

5 servings
Pasta300 g penne
Tuna in oil (tinned tuna)2 tins, drained
Sweet corn kernels (corn kernels)1 cup
Green peas¾ cup
Onion1 small, chopped
Butter2 tbsp
Maida (all-purpose flour, plain flour)3 tbsp
Milk2 cups
Cheddar cheese1¼ cups grated
Prepared mustard1 tsp
Black pepper½ tsp
Saltto taste

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Heat the oven to 200°C. Cook the pasta for 2 minutes less than the packet says. Drain.
  2. 2Soften the onion in butter, stir in the flour for a minute, then whisk in the milk gradually and simmer until thick.
  3. 3Off the heat, stir in most of the cheese, mustard, pepper and salt, then the pasta, tuna, corn and peas.
  4. 4Tip into a dish, scatter the remaining cheese and bake until bubbling and golden.
Serve it like this
