Ingredients

4 servings
Whole wheat flour (wholemeal atta flour, chapati flour)2 cups
Rava (semolina)1 tbsp, optional, for crispness
Salt½ tsp
Cooking oil (vegetable oil)1 tsp for dough, rest for frying, absorbed
Waterabout 1/2 cup

Method

4 steps
  1. 1Mix atta, rava, salt and 1 tsp oil. Knead a stiff dough with water and rest 15 minutes.
  2. 2Divide into 16 balls and roll into small, even circles. Use a little oil instead of flour.
  3. 3Slide into hot oil and press gently with a slotted spoon until puffed. Flip and fry until golden.
  4. 4Drain on paper and serve hot.
Serve it like this
